New Jersey State Assemblyman Christopher DePhillips (R-40) will serve on a panel with life sciences panelists, Kathleen Coviello, Vice President of Technology and Life Science of the New Jersey Economic Development Authority, Christine Mikail, President/Co-Founder of Neumentum; Deborah Penza Collins, Senior Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer of Melinta Therapeutics; Scott Miller, Executive Director of Global Compliance, Syneos Health; and New Jersey State Senator Steve Oroho (R-24). Dean J. Paranicas, President and Chief Executive Officer of the HealthCare Institute of New Jersey (HINJ) will moderate the panel.
The event will be capped off with a luncheon keynote address by John Crowley, Chairman & CEO of Cranbury-based Amicus Therapeutics, a global, patient-centric biotechnology company focused on developing and delivering high-quality medicines for people living with rare metabolic diseases. Amicus maintains global operations in 27 countries including the United States and Japan, as well as throughout Europe. Mr. Crowley’s own life story of working to develop a cure for a fatal neuromuscular disease, Pompe’s disease, that had threatened his children’s health, was the basis of the 2010 film Extraordinary Measures.
